To re-build and re-open a greenspace bikeway after flood damage to ‘build back better’ in accordance with the council's disaster recovery guidelines, increasing resilience of the sustainable transport infrastructure and deliver value to the local community.
,
IN4 was engaged to provide project management services according to a program of works for both the planning and delivery of the greenspace bikeway.
Our role was to determine the scope of the project, undertake design, environmental planning, co-ordinate community engagement, manage the procurement of materials, engage specialist consultants and contractors, and manage the co-ordination and planning of construction works.
Throughout this process, IN4 managed both the internal design and constructions teams, as well as external consultants and contractors to facilitate the program of works.
Projects within the program included the reconstruction of bikeways and culvert crossings, planning and design of a new bridge, reconstruction of eroded embankments, repair of bridge abutment, and installation of bikeway ancillary infrastructure, such as lighting, railing, signage and drainage.
The greenspace bikeway was fully restored and reopened, with several resilience improvements and successful outcomes for the community, which relies on this valuable community asset for commuting and leisure.
